Product and subscription terms
Effective October 2, 2026
These terms apply to HeapFile websites, mobile and desktop apps, account services, optional cloud features, and paid plans. HeapFile is a product of VTEK Innovations LLC. By using HeapFile, you agree to these terms and the terms of any platform or payment provider you use.
Accounts and service
You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your sign-in credentials and devices, and activity performed through your account. HeapFile provides local-first capture and handoff tools plus optional account, sync, storage, and subscription features. Features may vary by platform and plan.
Mobile subscriptions
Subscriptions purchased in the iOS app are processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscriptions purchased in the Android app are processed by Google through Google Play. The localized price, billing period, trial or introductory offer if any, and renewal terms shown by the store at purchase control. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when the purchase is confirmed.
Mobile subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through the applicable store before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel an Apple subscription in Apple subscription settings and a Google Play subscription in Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; access may continue through the paid-through date. Store purchases can be restored to an eligible signed-in HeapFile account after server verification.
Website, desktop, and team billing
Eligible website, desktop, team, invoice, or enterprise plans may be processed through PayPal or another method shown at checkout. Those payment terms are separate from Apple and Google mobile subscriptions. HeapFile does not direct users from a mobile paywall to external checkout for the same digital mobile subscription.
Refunds and account deletion
Apple controls refunds for App Store purchases and Google controls refunds for Google Play purchases, subject to their policies. Other billing questions may be sent through HeapFile support. Deleting a HeapFile account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel recurring billing through Apple or Google before or after deleting the account.
Your content and third-party services
You keep ownership of content you place in HeapFile. You grant HeapFile permission to process content only as needed to provide the features you choose. You must have the right to use and share that content. Assistant links, operating-system features, cloud providers, connectors, and payment stores are third-party services governed by their own terms and availability.
Acceptable use
Do not use HeapFile to violate law, infringe rights, bypass security controls, distribute malware, interfere with the service, access systems or information without authorization, or expose credentials and regulated data contrary to your obligations.
Availability and changes
We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features, integrations, or plans. We will not claim platform or connector capabilities that are not available in the product. Material subscription changes will be communicated as required by applicable law and store rules.
Disclaimers and liability
HeapFile is provided on an "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, VTEK Innovations LLC disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
